Depending on a bunch of variables, it could reach its mechanical limits on the low end.

that's the thing about ported...

wrong song with too much power and you get the kiss of death.

i know, its because the alpines are pretty large subs and they take up about a half an inch more space than my previous jl subs. This box is worth 300 bucks too, so dont talk to fast. Please. And yes, the ports do matter as far as loudness is concerned. A slotted port is much more affective. The only reason i posted the picture was to see how large my settings were from imageshack.com. If i want i can build another box out of mdf to fix the problem i have with the space between woofers, but right now, i really dont want to. It's very time consuming.

But at least its a custom box, thats what makes it good. Its a jl design that we customized just abit.

The death box enclosure is better than any enclosure. Have you seen it. I built one for a single 10' diamond yesterday and it hit almost as good as my grandpas 2 jl w3 system. No joke. Then i put it in a regular ported box and it lost about 30 percent of its power. Its not good to argue this topic, just know that the death box enclosure is superb. So we can be entitled to our own opinions and im fine with that.

a "jl design" you customized just a bit LOL. None of the JL boxes look like that.

ok, my box is not the death box. The death box is something different. Ill give you a pic of the one we built for a single 10 tomorrow. Why do you think its wack. It's better than anything you buy. Give me one good reason why its wack, is it because the woofers are touching each other? Big deal, it doesnt affect them because they each have their own chamber. I have had about 10 people ask me to build them one just by showing it off. I could make another one and sell it for 250 bucks easily, but your tellin me its wack. You gotta be kidding me. What kind of enclosure do you got? Im not trying to start arguments but i will tell you that its a badass enclosure. The death box is a small enclosure that slides back and forth to adjust your bass the way you want it. Its really cool. Ill show you a picture of it tomorrow. Very satisfied with it. Like i said im not trying to start a argument, so please come at me a little different.

the death box did add about 20 to 30 percent to the 300 watt woofer thats in it, seriously. It freakin amazes me how much a good enclosure can affect the woofer put in it.
