me too. Cheap amp power isnt as good as expensive amp power but it still is 2400 watts. The quality just isnt as good

I have an Alpine PDX1.1000 that I used to power two 12" Type R's with. They got crazy loud, but you'll wanna beef up your electrical.

what do i need to upgrade?

I'm not tryin to bust your balls but 2000w of leagacy/pyramid is equal to 300-400w of even say rockford power. I thought my first system was the best around (500w jensen amp w 2 10" mtx blue thunder) but if you put a real amp to those R's you'd put your legacy amp on some train tracks just so someone else doesn't end up with it and think they have a +2kw amp. maybe 2400w at 18v at .5ohm for a half a second before it sizzles. I bet ya got a whopping 40amp fuse on that bad boy too? and Caps? seriously? I'm startin to think your joking. peak power doesn't matter, its constant power or, say it with me RMS is what counts. do you really think that puts out almost the same power as a kicker 2500.1? ebay/flea markets list the peak power to trick you. it honestly might not even be 400w RMS. didn't you wonder why its so cheap. if everyone could get so much power for so cheap why would people spend 10x that much on real amps?

You'll probably need an alternator that crank out more amps and then a new battery on top of that. Or you could try the big 3 and see how that works.

the best thing you could do is get a new amp. my friend was tricked into buying a lecacy amp thinking it would be an upgrade from his rockford p600.2 (600w). was removed after 30 mins and sold on craigslist to someone who didnt know which brands are good. try hifonics. there not anywhere near high end but they are cheap. even there 1600w RMS amp actually puts out like 1300w. but then you would have to get a better alternator at least.

im just tryin to help ya but you know the guys backing you are joking, kinda hard to read sarcasm in posts. and caps rob power from your amp when they recharge. i use one to supply a quick boost so the xbox doesnt shut off when i start the car, just so you dont think im f"in w ya.
