Scary stuff guys. Here is some food for thought. Want a free car over the next 100K miles? Kind of slaps you in the face when the math is done.
A gas ******* SUV that gets 15MPG would use 6666.666 gallons of fuel over 100K miles, scary how that number came up huh //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif That is $26,666.66 in fuel @ $4 a gallon.
Now get rid of that money drain and get say a scion XD, XA, Yaris or Civic, somthing or whatever that can get 38mpg or above. Over that same 100,000 miles you would use 2631.57 gallons of gas which at $4 a gallon = $10,526.31 in fuel cost.
A difference of $16,140.35 Which is what I paid for my XD *LOL* So over my old SUV I sold off, over a 100K mile period, of course minus the tax, title, licence and finance charges. Just scary to think about how much can be saved at todays sick fuel costs.
