Wait exactly what fuse size for power wire?

If you're doing seperate runs of power wire for each amp they will have to be fused at different amperages due to the size difference. Fuse the 0ga at 200a and the 4ga at 100a and call it a day

how were you able to calculate the fuse size ? just for future reference. I have had it run on 150a fuse but the wire that goes to the battery up until the fuse is very burnt and part of the fuse seems to be almost melted, not sure if its heat or not but it still plays soooo //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif

No, the proper thing to do would be to fuse by the rating of the wire. For example, my runs of 1/0 CCA are rated at 250A. So, the proper fusing would be 250A. OP, you'll need to find out the ratings of your wire and fuse accordingly.

That's just a personal rule of thumb, I prefer to fuse lower than the wire can technically carry but more than the amp is rated to pull that way it should only blow if something has gone wrong, like a short. I'd rather burn out a fuse than a wire.

could this be the reason my wire from battery to the fuse is burnt?
