Real quick rundown...have 2 zv4 18s in a 4th order in my avalnche, powered by 2 soundstrem rub2500.1 strapped runnin at .5ohm....now before i hear a bunch of peiple saying thats the problem cuz they r not .5ohm stable...they ARE..tons of peiple run em,with no issues and this is my second set ran at .5....i have 3 300amp alts, 900ah worth of batts, 4 runs hot 4 runs neg 0gauge and 4 more grounds ti chassis. At full tilt v never drops belowb13.8
So thats not thr issue.
Whats happening is the amp has a v input switch, 1to2v and 3to8 i believe, so i use the 3to8 since my deck is 4v.
gain hasnt been set with dmm yet but its also maybe 10% turned up so i know im not clipping or anything....well normally its hitting so hard u literally cant breath thru ur nose, then outta nowhere it cuts down to half volume or less...ive check all cables, only thing that worked was i wiggled the link cable and it kivked back on and also when i switched to 1v it got loud but i switch back 4v and it got louder which makes 0 sense....so led me to believe i had a short in that switch on my amp until i did some testing a bit ago.
It shut down to almost no bass so i unhooked power to amps abd rehooked it and it remained, i unhooked power to my hu and back up and it went back to normal...leading me to believe theres an issue with my hu rca output....any ideas?
Elec is buttoned up beyond perfect, no issues at all...tgis has been 2months straight working 12 to 18hrs a day building this (fiberglassed the whole,interior took most the tine) but i went overkill on everything.
Is there a way to maybe isolate or narrow down the problem? Theres no ryne or reason to it cutting out, did denos yesterday for hrs without an issue and drivin home on low volume it cut out, then did it on high volume...might cutbout after 2 seconds, sometimes hrs, sometimes it comes right back,to normal sometimes it,doesnt....my brain is starting,to hurt from all this crap lol...oh and hu is kejwood kdcx993, have ran it,for,yrs with no issues.
