Voltage

My car is a 1995 Eclipse GSX. I read 11.7 volts at my amp without it starting. Then i read about 13.7 when the car is running. I know this is lower than it should be. I have a brand new battery up front and a HC800 connected to the battery, which also powers my amps. I get about a 1.5 volt drop when the bass hits. Does this call for the big 3? My alternator is at the bottom of the **** engine.

13.7 is fine.
and with 2000RMS @ 1 ohm, you definately need to have the big 3 done, and i would recommend more battery/HO alternator.
sorry... i have a new system now. Just a 700 RMS amp goging to a 10" Type R and a little Audiobahn amp powering my comps.
I was about to ask what amp. I would do the big 3 first and foremost. Play your stuff at full tilt and see if you notice your lights dimming on the low notes. With what you have you shouldn't.
