What Makes Bass - Go Out of the car

I have a Kicker CVT12 and a Kicker 400.1 Amp

The sub is 400W Cont @ 2ohm and the Amp can handle that.

My Question is, is there anyway to make more of the bass escape my truck.

Its very loud when im sitting down in the truck, but when i step outside with all the windows open, its not that loud at all.. is it the location of the box? the size of the box? the way the subs setup?.. I know bigger subs and amps will do the job, but is there anything else i can do.

Like a kid down the street from me has 2 12" subs, im not sure of the Wattage of his stuff, but idk.. He has a Jeep and i can hear his system from 5 houses away. Mine, maby i can hear a bit of it from just 1 house away.

So all your friends can hear how "badass" your stereo is? So you can annoy everyone who doesnt want to hear it?

I mean, i like a loud *** stereo, but that also comes with hundreds of dollars of sound deadener, and rarely do i drive with my windows down.

you could always move the box into the bed of the truck. you just wouldnt hear it as well in the truck anymore

homeboy 5 houses away. are you serious I'm sure you could hear my system 5 houses away on volume1. try more like 5 blocks away. Anyways try possitioning your box diffrently. I usually park my car in the driveway turn it up like half ways and I listen to it from inside the house. Try that
