Voltage Question

Hey,

This may be a dumb question, but here it is...I found an Alpine 9835, but it is in the United Kingdom. I know in europe that they have different voltages in their houses than we do in the U.S. so...do their cars use 12v like we do in the united states? Pretty much, will this head unit work for my explorer?

now, are the radio stations in 'our' frequencies?
pshhh.. who listens to the radio these days anyways?

IIRC, in Japan they use way different frequencies, I dont know about UK or if Alpine makes them in different flavors for that purpose.

Some decks meant for sale in the US have the option of switching the tuner frequency gap between American and European tuning but the same may not be true for units built for sales elsewhere.

Yeah, put the probes on the power wire and ground wire of the amplifier. Multimeter on DC. Do not put it on the wires that go to your speakers. M
