Voltage decline

ya my belts are fine, just had em replaced. tightened the back ground and all the connections. when im driving voltage doesnt go above 13.8v. when i turn the car if and wait like 8 seconds, the sub makes a quiet rapid movement for like 5 seconds. if i just sit there and play music with the sub off, it makes a really quiet sound every 10 seconds or so.

I'm a little confused about how your batteries and amps are hooked up but I DO know that ALL of your batteries have to be individually grounded. Not only that but they have to have the same gauge wire grounding out the battery as is on the positive side of the battery going to the amp. For example, if you have a 0 gauge wire going to your amp from battery A, then that battery needs its OWN 0 gauge grounding wire that is no more than 14 inches long. It cannot be grounded out to another battery that has a power wire coming off of that one too. Hope this helps.

So your saying each batt has to be grounded itself? And one grounded to frame, than they others run off that or linked together?

Cuz its worked fine for me, plus i have only a single 4ga run from front to back, and a 1/0 ground to frame in rear and works fine for me....not ideal, but works (156+ db)

You can daisy chain mutiple battery grounds together and then ground the last one to your frame/run it to the front bat or alternator. You're less likely to induce noise into your system this way, too.

Hey bro i had this problem, voltage would stay around high 12s idle/driving. It was my ****ing shit fuseblock up front...as soon as i bought a new one voltage would stay 14+ idle/driving....check your block/fuses asap

Check around with a DMM, like check your alt + and to ground and see if your pressing 14+ like u should be up front before all your wiring to the back. Then check after your fusing and what not, thats how i troubleshooted my problem.

The ground has to be at least the same size as power or bigger.
