I hate to jump in but this is an issue I have also.With my ARC amps I have 120X2 @ 2ohms

or 240x1 @ 4 ohms

I wanna run IDQ12 DVC subs (1 amp per sub)

can I wire it either way..2ohm style or 4ohmstyle and is either way more prefferable??

Assuming the sub is 2ohm/coil ( //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif ), then yes, you can do it either way. Usually it is easier to just wire the coils in series and bridge the amp.

Okay just lost my whole nicely written post.

Okay my question is can i run a Audiobahn alum10q with an aura amp. the sub is 6ohm dvc. the amp can run 160rms at 4ohm. could someone let me know if i can hook up bot voice coils or not off this amp? all info is appreciated!

is this possible ?? check attachment , its a 4 channel amp , bridged to 2 channel, i know i can connect each channel to a Voice coil, but i need a 2 ohm load for more power out of the amp.

i know its better to wire to each coil, and set the gain equally, but i still wanna if its possible or not . thnx:help:

Okay i take it that wasnt to help me. or was it? my main concern was the 6 ohm rating on the sub. And if i could run it and not push it full power? sry im lost once again been out of the scene to long

In the diagrams it shows all the wiring ending up to one source. Even if there are two subs there always turns out to be only one set of 1 pos and 1 neg. So does that mean that you can bridge the amp to that one set to as long as that amp handles that final impedance in that last set?????

hey everyone. i was wondering if i could get some wiring help. i'm getting 2 kicker 12" L7's and a vented box to mount them in and right now i have a small amp (punch p2002). i was wondering if anyone could help me with the wiring of these subs? i plan on selling this amp and getting a more powerful one eventually. please help?? thanks to everyone's input.

ok, how about a DVC 8ohm sub at 2 ohms? i doubt it, i think you can get it to 4 ohms with no problem.

i do have 2 of them, so maybe i can drop it to 2 ohms with a mono amp?

so, can i get 2 ohms from a single DVC 8ohm driver?

OR

can i get 2 ohms from (2) DVC 8ohm driver?

8ohm DVC's can be wired as 4ohms or 16ohms only.

2 8ohm DVC's can be wired as 2ohms, 4ohms, or 64ohms.
