get the led one, pretty much the same. pages you and it costs less, same distance, the lcd remote is like 80 dollars if you have to replace it. I have the led and works great.

DEI used to carry the 690xv in the previous years, which was the non remote start version of the 790 and 791. They are still around, might want to search for it. You can also look at the Clifford RSX 2.5, same thing as well.

But this shouldn't limit you, you can use 791xv or any other remote start security without remote start. At least you get an independent hood pin indicator with it.
