Viper 1200.1 for Type R subs

You will get mixed reviews on the Type R's Sealed. Some people say that they sound good sealed others dont.

I had my R's in a sealed enclosure temporarily before I put them in my custom ported box and they sounded fine to me.

Nah he is right. They didnt get all that loud sealed. The were amazing ported though.

you know he,s right most subs do sound better in a bigger boxs i had my cvr 15 in 3 cuft boxs it was loud then went to a 5.6 cuft. ported and put 800watts to this sub and hit a 140 at local bass off

bigger boxes are more efficient at their tuning frequency... but not any louder in general. You can easily make up for the small size of the box with additional power if your competing.
