i just looked at some vids of loyds back no the 20.1 and his move wayyyyyy more then mine

and its not that big of a wattage difference....go figure??

just played them for about 3minutes tops....late night tip and that alan jackson song

started to smell but not like before (i aint play it as long)

and felt the cones...yes they were hot

not like hot to the touch but warm enough to tell a difference easily

think its the amp?

so i don't think they should have any problem handling one.

yea snoop i saw your vid....

how did yours move in person compared to mine?

im thinkin something is fishy about the amp maybe the gains are set completely wrong or something...but ony way to get to it is to take off the back panel which is glued down...and then i dont no how to set gains anyway

man this sucks.

do you really think the glue is still melting after a month?

What number are you hitting. With that power and those subs/port set up like that you should be in the upper echelon of the 140's.

Did you set the gains properly?

Edit; So a shop did your install? Spend 20 bucks, get a DMM and read up on the gain tutorial on the site. Set it properly and I'm pretty sure you won't have this problem anymore.

In the Great 12 Challenge Loyd mentions the Mags are made with a excessive amount of glue, so burning glue seems pretty plausable. I've never got my Mag hot enough to find out.
