VID- Custom 8"TC1000 on a Zapco 750.2. LOOK!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow! From what I heard horns and t-lines are more for SQ applications... If they produce so much more power over ported then y don't we see these in more spl applications? I know its been asked before but evener seen a legit str8 forward answer

Horns are generally louder than normal ported boxes, by t-lines are not. T-lines trade off efficiency for better transient response and a wider bandwidth than ported boxes.
Hmm so say I wanted to make a quarter wave for 2 SA-8s for daily or SPL, how much bigger wud this enclosure be (than a porter box)?

So I guess a box like that for two 12s is about the size of a fridge?
No. Depending on the subs FS could be anywhere from 10-15cu.LOL

Because of the size of the enclosure

This is true. Tline's are not suppose to be louder, unless you know where the tuning of the box is and the sub in a transfer setup. Then you have whats called a "one note wonder" that peaks a certain frequency through the roof. Thats why i did 145 with in 3-5hz of each other.

LOL. at least double. would take a few calculations to know exactly.

nice!
Just read about the surround tearing. You going to use the same coil & softparts for the re-cone?

DO IT!
Wasnt the surround. It was the spider. I used an adire spider from Patrick at Robot Underground. That thing took MASSIVE amounts of abuse before it tore. Think of it as a 2" ww on a 6" spider. Any other spiders would have torn earlier. But this one stood the test of time and i HIGHLY recommend it if building a 2" coiled sub. Im concidering building it the same, but..... My man Chris(zeuslicious) hooked it up with a 2" LMS/LMT coil that is a perfect fit! Im highly concidering using that next. I wont get close to as good of numbers but it will sound sweet! This wasnt a spl build. It was 100% SQ but ended up being loud as fawk anyways!

Nice, I miss that amp. Glad it's working well for you.
Thanks Shane! It's working beautifully! Wish i had 2 of them for more power. Its amazing since its fully unregulated. I could keep feeding it power and it will keep making power till it burns up, but im not looking to abuse it.

I will be selling it soon though.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif Going to raise money to pick up a US Amps 2000x locally. Yeah my buddy has 4 of them and finally decided to sell. Class a/b power, 2000w@4 ohms mono but with the protection disabled it will do more like 3k@4 ohms!!!
