*VID* 2 10" D6's in a TCAB .....finally got metered..

Maybe yes it is his bussiness. We just think that they are crazy expensive. Plus I was quoted a 100 bucks less not 2 months ago. So that is why I was wondering.

That and the box I had in my cutty with the 4 9500s in it that was built in my trunk was 200 bucks at a local shop. That is why I orginally asked spkrman wow 200 bucks for his boxes that are now 300.

//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/hilarious.gif.02a037aad04aa96f19982b298a3d70a8.gif..ill just end it now cause we could argue over the internet for another 5 hours but honestly i dont want to.

True dat! Plus it is turkey day! So I am gonna eat some turkey and shit out a tcab box. Well at least I hope. It is the time for giving.

This isn't at all related to this thread... the guy in this thread had a different box... and it honestly wasnt even worth putting on a meter. I didnt want to hear "well that box sucks" if I put up a comparison.

hahahaha thanks man.....i guess all that really matters is that im satisfied wt the box!.......thanks for all the inpput

I built a box for a friend with a Soundstream Rubicon 15 on 300w that made his entire car shake (and flex), make his dash trim piece come lose and fall, and his mirror fall repeatedly on music. this was on music and tuned to 30hz. Am I god?

No, your friends car is just a PIECE //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif

Haha, jk, you are god. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eyebrow.gif.fe2c18d8720fe8c7eaed347b21ea05a5.gif

but 10hz is a full octave lower!
No, 10hz lower (38hz) isn't even a half octave lower than 48hz.

24hz is one full octave lower than 48hz. 36hz is a half octave lower than 48hz. You need to correct that on your site, by the way //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

http://www.thecaraudiobox.com/eventpicsandvids/ - should read "almost one half octave lower"

One octave lower is half of the frequency, one octave higher is twice the frequency.

Also, to those who were arguing about it earlier........3db doesn't sound twice as loud to the ear. 6db-10db is perceived as twice as loud. 3db is a doubling of acoustical power ("technically" twice as loud, but now audibly twice as loud).

thanks squeak i always wondered how it worked out, all i know is it sounds louder lol

yea a little updated vid will be comin soon.....i decided i wasnt feedin the subs enough power so i "kicked it up a notch". To the ear its much louder, so well see what the TL thinks.

I was confused by the way power output was determined on the Colossus powering the Type R doing 150+ in that one video.

Don't DMM's and clamp meters both take RMS measurements of voltage and current?
