First of all you posted this in the wrong section.
Second, i am very familiar with the entire story, and feel the exact way that something was very odd about the whole thng.
You open something from an MFG
if the guy at the shop was an honest dealer, he should have still tried to call Kicker for a repair, or had you send the AMP back for a refund, before spending money getting it fixed through him.
Joel is a good guy, but has no reason not to wash his hands of you now, just because of the shadyness of your end of the transaction.
To all the people saying that the buyer took the risk buying a refurb, thats not right at all. he should have gotten a working amp, and had he contacted the seller then this would have never hapened, as the seller would have been able to send it back for a repair without any issues. instead he opens it up himself, voiding any warranty at all. buy something from a retail store, open it up, and try to get warranty service on it.....it's not going to happen.
so all in all, while he should have gotten a working amp, we have no way to verify that he didnt. issue is pretty much over now, since there is no warranty because the buyer opened it up.
Thats my story and im sticking to it.
