I find it amusing that you took it so personally if your parents are not divorced.
I mean statistics show that the most common reason for divorce is shitty children, with adultery coming in as a close second.

So it really comes down to did you **** as a child or did your mom not **** enough as an adult.

Sounds like the OP is in high school. I'd say stay where you are for HS and enjoy good times with your friends. When it's time to go to college and make new friends anyways go live with the mom and go to school somewhere down there.

Convince her to buy in Minneapolis. That's the place right now in terms of tech, women, and a great rural atmosphere twenty minutes out. One of my best frinds lives there with noting but good things to say. He's originally from Akron, moving here in '90, so he also is aware of the difference between two subpar choices.
