very low RCA voltage

Hi, im having a problem with my RCA's

My front and rear are reading only .2 volts AC at 1khz test tone

And my sub pre-out is only reading .6 volts AC at 60hz test tone

The deck is a Alpine DVA-9861

My old system 2 12" kickers with a vibe amp and a sundown 100.2 pushing cdt comps worked fine

But now this HU seems like it wont even push my two new nine.2's

Are you testing this with the volume turned all the way up? Because most HUs don't produce full voltage until volume is maxed....And are you testing DC or AC voltage? and try this...Unplug the rcas from the amp and test from there touching the neg probe to the outside of the RCA and the pos probe to the "probe" of the rca cable.

EDIT: Missed the AC voltage part... lol

Did you have a track playing this time? I would suggest plugging one of the rcas in so you have some sound so you know for sure something is coming through. Then if you measure and still get almost nothing... you KNOW your measurements are not right.

i took a reading with both rca out and put the dmm right up to the RCA jacks on the HU

and took a reading from the ends of the RCAs with them plugged in
