very confused

Here's a great website for you to look at, all of the products on here are top notch and are much better than JL's overpriced woofers.

SoundSolutionsAudio's 15 inch Icon sub would definitely do the job better and cheaper than JL

SoundSplinter's Rl-p 15 would also fit the bill and take that power nicely, would do it louder, lower and clearer than JL, 335 new + shipping or you can easily find one here in the classifieds used for a lot less if you just look around for a couple days.

Death Penalty makes great subs but I don't know enough about their actual power handling to recommend you one

Another great woofer, I don't know if they can be had cheaper elsewhere though new, but they are on here used a lot as well and I've heard these and I've heard JL w7's off the same power and TBH I preferred these, louder and clearer.

The Q series here would also definitely do the job, FI makes great woofers for a fraction of the price that JL does

Theres more but I've gotten to lazy to keep going, hopefully you can find something cheaper than those JL's you're so set on.

well i believe FI is out since they dont have dual 4 ohm
I don't think you understand, you only need 1 Fi Q on 1000 Watts and dual 2 would allow you to use all of your power, all of the subs i recommended you will only need one dual 2 ohm subwoofer to see your power, and if you're gonna buy the W6's new that alone will cut your cost by about 300 and considering most of the subs i recommended are on par with or better than the W7 I think you'll be pretty happy with them.

If you are going to go with Fi Q, I would definitely go as big as you can fit.

The Q is one of those lines with almost identical motors on each model.

and the price difference between the 10" and the 18" is only $60.

so your gaining a huge amount of efficiency relatively inexpesively... personally i wouldn't buy a 10" Q if i can fit a bigger model, it would make almost no sense.

Also if you wanted to run 2 subs you can still go with the FI's...

You don't need 2 dual 4 ohm's to get to 1 ohm, The Q's come in dual 1's which can reach 1 ohm by series I would recommend parallel on the VC's and series the subs, rather than the other way around.

I would go with 1 big sub the 18 will be much louder than 2 10's off your amp and be far less expensive, not to mention the wow factor of having a 18" wanger
