When I had that amp, I was pushing 3 JL 12w3's with dual 6 ohm coils wired to 1 ohm. The amp worked great, never got hot.

http://mobile.jlaudio.com/support_pages.php?page_id=161. You want 3 6 ohm dvc drivers and wire them paralel/paralel. Or get 2 12" jl w6's dual 4 ohm drivers and run them paralel/paralel for a 1 ohm load and they'll see the full 1000 watts your amp can give.

Do you have you heart set on JL? Personally, I would also look at RE and FI.

Jl probably has the best sound quality and they can get pretty d a m n loud too. It's just personal preferance, I've had jl w6's in the past so I'm biased. I loved them, they got loud and sounded great.

What version? If you have your heart set on w6's, go with the v2's.

i really dont kno about versoion, from what im thinkin which maybe be wrong i need 2 4-ohm subs to make it 1 ohm

they have the old school style with the raised bubble, then they have the second stlye that had JL in the middle its gray, then the last one thats black and has jl written real small in the bottom

You are correct on needing the two 4 ohm subs.

As far as the version, v2 is the all black one with the tiny logo at the bottom. Go with them.
