Hey i need some help on a setup...real easy,

i have a Basspro ASA 1000.1D Ampilfier... first of all is it any good? IM looking for some good subs to get.. I like JL audio alot but which to get so i can use all the 1000 watts the amp has without blowing the speakers... this amp is 1 ohm for 1000watts

hows it better to do... 1 big sub or 2 smaller is in 10 or 12's?

any help plz?

JL Audio is expensive, better options for the price.

I don't know much about the amplifier - if it does put out a genuine 1000 watts, then you have several options. 2 smaller subwoofers are going to be louder, and get you more sound for the power, but the larger one will get a deeper bass. Are you looking at the sound quality or SPL?

How loud do you want to get? A good 1000 watt sub setup would be

2 JL W3v3

2 Alpine type R

2 RE SE

It probably does about 700 real watts @ 1 ohm, and at a realistic actual in-vehicle voltage.

i have 6x9 AND 6 1/2s and tweeters that are JL AUDIO! being pushed by a E1250 JL audio amp.....

so now that u guys say it pushes 700? would 2 w3's? be ok....if so what size? 10 12?

no, but they can get louder. JL is more SQ than anything alpine has.

Basspro ASA1000.1D? Never heard of it, but the specs look pretty similar to my old Powerbass ASA1000.1D.

You can find a decent sub for around that price. A single Fi Q would be a good choice and probably wouldn't be much more then that. Maybe a single Audioque SDC2.5. Or you can look in the classifieds section on this site and find some good stuff for that price.
