Very Basic "Theory" Behind Installation Wiring of Replacement Factory Audio

I'm preparing to replace my 1999 Acura TL factory audio with a modern BT/GPS system. Bought it, and a "Steering Wheel Control Adapter" through Crutchfield. I've no questions about removing the old radio --- Crutchfield's illustrated directions along with YouTube cover almost everything. My questions begin with the wiring once the old radio is gone.

I gather I'll have a big connector from the factory remaining from the factory install, and the aftermarket radio (Axxera) comes with a connector that fits into the radio, with all the wires stripped ready to be connected to something. They are all labeled (mostly speakers, but all the other functions as well). What do these labeled stripped wires connect to?

You didn’t purchase the PAC wiring harness with the new HU? I did when I installed my Sony HU and it was pretty easy. Instructions come with the PAC unit on what wires connect to what.
Thanks. I did figure it out finally, but it took a number of calls to two manufacturers who then supplied definitive wiring diagrams matching old colors to new and explaining where I had to make two "military splices."
