Can you use the top mounts on a yellow top, while the side(GM) mounts are in use by the factory wiring? I would like to use the top mounts for my power wire to amp and for battery positive to alternator positive. I don't see any reason why I wouldn't be able to do this.. but I'd just like some feedback on the issue.

yep its fine, i did that when i had my yellow tops.
