Using only half

Here's the question. Since I'm piecing together my system and wanting to have a single amp, is there any issue with only using the 2 front channels for a while for my components and waiting a month or twi before hooking up the other channels to a sub?

usually in a 4 ch amp, at least all of em ive had, the front and rear channels are really 2 separate amps inside the whole amp.

Ok. So, then what recommendations you guys got. I think I want a 4 channel that puts around 100 to the front two for components and at least 300 from the other two bridged to a single sub. All would be running 4ohm. I want a simple system. No caps, alternator upgrades, etc. I really like the Arc XXK4150, but **** it's expensive. Thoughts?

If you want a really good 4 channel... look for a memphis, alpine, or any of the high ends like zapco and etc. I stand by alpine amps 100%. They sound clean, put out more than rated, and are overall easy to deal with (i.e. havent overheated, burned out etc.).
