how do i use the dmm to set my gains for my amp? what does it need to be set too like dc or ac or what? i need a step by step type of thing, im retarded when it comes to electrical //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

another question, when i turn my volume 3/4 of the way up on my head unit, my front and rear speakers are still connected. is this good to play them so loud? is there a way to quickly disconnect the speakers?

the first time i set my gains i accidentally left my speakers connected and i played the test tone and i smoked the speakers. lol. if you have them amped just unhook the remote wire from that speaker amp.

if you're playing 50hz (setting bass amp), theoretically you're fronts will not be playing anything.
They'll still get some signal even with a crossover, it'll just be reduced depending on where you crossover and at what Db slope.

OP, if you have a crossover, set it as high as it will go with a 12 or 18 Db slope. It should be quiet enough. If not, you'll have to pull your HU out to disconnect speaker harness.

i just tried to use the voltmeter and when i move the gain up the volts dont change. nothing happend to the reading when i adjusted the gain. please help. now my sub isnt hitting either...
