Used FAI-3A convertor to install head unit in 99 GTP with Bose and it sounds terrible

Has anyone ever used that convertor in a similar car? The front sounds ok but the rear fill is probably the worst thing I've ever heard. I believe the only thing the factory amp is pushing is the rear speakers, so I assume its something to do with that.

I had the same car without Bose right before this and it sounded much better with the same head unit.

Gains on the convertor should be maxed out right? The front stage was awfully quiet with them any lower than max. What makes the rear sound like a muddy mess?

I'm not even sure what my question is! Why is it so much worse sounding than stock?! I need advice, it sounds worse than my non-Bose Grand Prix with the same head unit.
