while my tahoe is in for paint (looking at 6 months or so, my guys sloooow) I kinda miss driving an suv around, figured while I wait, might as well buy another. so was looking around yesterday, found a 2011 escalade esv premium for the cheap. question is, do used car dealers do anything in the way of discounts for cash? like, if its 32k, if I showed up with 27k in 100s think that'd take it home?

If you have all the money upfront, they'll probably give you a discount but not necessarily bc you're paying in cash. They would probably question you for that. You're better off buying from a private party IMO.

Check the trade in value of the vehicle and add $1000 that would probably be the cheapest you would get it for.

The only way a dealer would be selling one for 17k is if they bought it from an auction and it was stolen or not a clean title... Ain't no other way. No one in there right mind would sell a 25k+ suv for 17k unless they got it at an auction.

I just ran by iy again, it's an 2010, sorry, I was wrong. either way, fair price, no? and no.. ots not stolen or total loss.

Yea seems nice if it checks out in person. And if your spending 17k get a warranty. Even if it's like a 3 month one. That's enough time to make sure they didn't fvck you over.
