USACi New Classes and Power Ratings for 2007

Im confused on the max power deal...for example is my Orion 1200d 1200RMS 2400MAX is it rated at 480(1200x.55) or 1320 (2400x.55)? Ralph keeps throwing the term MAX power around, are they seriously going to use the MAX ratings or are they just substituing it for the Term RMS?

RMS....

By max he mean highest RMS at any impedance.

all this changes as far as the Manufacturers is instead of stretching the truth about what their amps do at 4 they will lie about what it does at 1/2/.5 wherever their amps do the most power...this rating system really didnt fix anything, all it did was fvck the guys that have spent 1k-2k on amps batteries and such and now they are put in an insane class. I agree get DB Drag here...

your amps will be published ratings * the .5, 1 or 2 ohm, whichever is the lowest they publish.

1/2 ohm rating multiplied by .25

1 ohm rating multiplied by .40

2 ohm rating multiplied by . 55

i'll still be all right, it just pisses me off that for 2 years now I build|buy|sell JUST to have the rules change at the end of the season. It is teh suxor. I'm supporting my local org next year i think.
