USACi New Classes and Power Ratings for 2007

what if you cant like justin and doug. They are limited by location on which org. that they can compete in (other than TBP). Im not asking IA to support USACi Im asking them to help out the guys that are limited to organizations they can compete in. Hell im all for DBdrag coming to Texas Louisiana arkansas Oklahoma, I would love to run in Street A. But as of now, that looks like its going to take a while. In the mean time, what does it hurt IA by releasing an accurate .5 ohm rating on the 20 and 40?

Wouldn't that be the same as orion releasing .5 ohm ratings or Kicker releasing 1 ohm ratings?

The amps are designed and rated for what they are built for. What they can TAKE is another story all together.

the 20.1 is a 1 ohm amp and is rated as such. Just because it can play fine at lower ohm loads does not make it a lower ohm load amp.

That's just IMO though because I've never really like USACi's rules. Streetbeat is fun though. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Thats the downside to it. With the 2007 ratings a 2500 amp @ 1 ohm isnt classed the same as a 2500 @ 2 ohm amp, even if that amp is only stable to 2 ohms, and if you lower the impedance the amp will go up in smoke.
Exactly, the same power but different classes based on ohm loads...I am not a very big fan of this.

Hopefully its going to change...Ive seen way to many people unhappy with this new way of rating amps. Hopefully ralph will take a hint and go back to the old system until a new better system can be reached and discussed on by the members. Isnt that the point of having members meetings. After all what would USACi be without members?

piss on usac... they never come around my neck of tha woods but about once a year if that. and when they do they put people in tha wrong classes and screw everything up. they tend to put dickheads in charge of the shows...

yea... since when has usac's trophies looked anything like this.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif
