Amp ratings for the 2007 season will be the highest derived power rating based on the following formula:

1/2 ohm rating multiplied by .25

1 ohm rating multiplied by .40

2 ohm rating multiplied by . 55

This is effectively a max power rating system but done is a way so as to police the class and rating structure.

Furthermore. Any amplifier that retails for more than a specified dollar amount per watt (somewhere around $1.25 per watt) will be subject to testing and re rating.

Our Thinking: here it is..

Change just for the sake of change is worthless. There were some great ideas posed and soem very creaive ones as well. Like most great ideas many of had ways to get around the rules and create the same problems we have had in the past. We would like to thank all the members who helped us with great ideas. After reveiwing all of the responses we feel the above is in the best interests of the majority of USACI memebrs and the furue of this organization.

Thank you for your support.!

rating system looks pretty stupid... But i guess the days of the 4ohm battle is over.

also i see the snivlers won their battle against the 2 amps in the 0-300 (0-600 now)

So what happens if u use a 2ch amp, i wonder how its rated

everyone will find new amp combos that work well for each class...

i wonder if ill be finding some cheap m1's //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

If I run stock electrical, (1) HCCA 275R at 1 ohm and (2) Type R 12's what class would I be in?

Now what if I ran (1) Orion Xtreme 1200 at 4 ohm with teh same subs what class would I be in?

I'm completly new to comps :p

Pretty shity if you ask me. Pretty much killed the 40.1 in ss 301-900 (now 60-1800) But 2 40.1s in 601-1800 FTMFW.
I show 1 40.1 sitting at 1,440 USACi watts next year. published 1 ohm is 3600, i'm out. I do believe IA was walking away next year too.

2 275's would be 960 watts so, 601-1800 class.

The other would be 480 so 0-600 class.
