Us Amps?

im lookin into buying a 1 ohm stble amp to push two dual 4 ohm MYX 550 10" subs. a guy told me bout the XT1000D. are US AMps sood and reliable and will they power the subs good?

I'm a fan of their higher end products...not much experience with the X line, but I hear they are decent for the $...you might want to search that particular amp, I am willing to bet that there are quite a few topics on it...

US Amps over-rated?? Uhm no... Their XT line is the "entry level" stuff which is actually much nicer then most out there.. USAmps, revamped the XT lines power supply for 08 so they do, do rated.. The XT4000 has 3x40 amp fuses, you do the math... They are very nice for power, they certainly arent anything special bu tthey are decent.. I know theres a video floating around with an interview with US amps about the XT line in which they state that the XT line is over-rated... I think thats the old XT line.. Ive sold many and installed many XT line amps with very favorable results.. Id compare the XT line to TMA (JL Audios entry line) But i actually like the XT'x better then Total mobile audio and i do carry and sell both... If you can save a few bucks go for an MD2D US, they are under-rated and are monsters.. I run all MD US and RE equipment in my demo car and my wifes rig is a complete XT line setup.. The XT4 slaps around the SX15D2 like nobodys business and the 800.4Xt sounds great on the comps and coax speaks....

Great amps, the older ones even better. I have used them since 1996, and was never disappointed. I do hear the newer ones are not a great, but I have yet to try them....

The Xterminator amps I've dealt with have put out much less than rated power. The 08's may be different then.

for the cash, xt's are good little amps is all im saying.... yeah the old stuff is the ish, US was know for very high end product so when they introduced the XT line to cater to the lower income market i think alot of the followers of us kinda got a bad taste in the mouth.. The MD and AX line is better then before but now we arent even comparing product that sould be compared to eachother..

XT's like i said id compare to TMA and MTX RT stuff.. all decent stuff for the cash...

Also i think youd want more power the the XT1 one if you go with XT line.. step up to atleast an XT2, it will slap them 10's around..

go Merlin or AX... much better quality. i run the AX line and am VERY happy with the quality and performance.

I just PM'd him about selling him my 06 MD2D for $220. but its been repaired by US Amps.

Hes local so he could test it to see if he likes it first.

US was know for very high end product so when they introduced the XT line to cater to the lower income market i think alot of the followers of us kinda got a bad taste in the mouth.

No one was upset about them making a lower line of amps. It was the fact that they were straight up lying and trying to deceive the customer to make the almighty buck is what pissed people off. Because of that I'll never buy from US Amps again.

X2 and that vid that's floating around didn't help either.

oh well, i still run an ax series amp, but won't touch an xt and the merlin is on my list of "if i can find a better amp for the price".
