hey everyone. i just got a us amps merlin d2 1500 rms @1ohm. the problem is this is my first system installation. even though it is a mono amp, it has two pairs of speaker connections. i have one 15" xxx. should i only use one speaker connection? i read the manual and looked at the amp and it does not mention bridging the connections. anyone who has experience with this amp please help me out. thanks

yes, you can wire your sub to a 1ohm load and hook it up to one side

yeah its definitely sweet looking! can wait to see how it pounds >=0) going for an inverted sub setup and still looking for a spot for that amp

How well would the MD2 run off of a stock 110amp alt?

i dont see why not but you wouldn't get the full potential of that amp. i know its underrated. i made sure and got a 200 amp alternator, big 3 with 0 gauge wiring and a yellow top. hopefully i will see its full power when its installed....

The problem is. I got dimming from a bx1500 and this amp is much stronger, so I have my concerns, and I can't mod my car so I'm stuck.

Big 3 and a better battery is what I am doing, but changing the alt I can't.

It's like 600-700 bucks for a g35 alt pushing 180-200 amps. That's waaaaaay out of my budget for a car I may not have much longer.

Efficiency might play a large role in this also.

Yeah, I'm hoping that it is pretty efficient. I guess i will keep my XXX and get it reconed, since no one will buy it. Really a no lose situation IMO. Hope the two will make a nice sounding couple.
