UPS and BTLs dont mix

why?
USPS FEDEX or DHL have never damaged my packages... UPS.. well I don't want to go into it
Because each company ships THOUSANDS of packages a day with a low to mid 90% success rating (Non expections (Exceptions=damage/loss)).

Anyone who thinks that one is better than another has just had some poor random luck, trust me, I move a lot of stuff through all the carriers.

Personally the only reason I would choose one of the other is Fedex has a much better system for support.

Gotta love terrible reasoning...

You've never been killed in a car accident, so cars are safe?

Maybe if you've shipped hundreds through each company, and UPS has ****ed up 50% of the time while the others only once or twice....but there is such a thing as chance...

My stepdad owns a business so i ship everything through him because he has an account with UPS and gets discounts on shipping, he did not request insurance or anything extra he just shipped it so i dont know how that works

all i do know is that the buyer reported it to UPS and filed a claim in the amount of $400 dollers (i sold it for $200 to him) so i dont know how they go about paying that up

you need to pick up "packaging for dummies" i sold tons of shit, even shipped out a ****en sub box, all with UPS and never had a problem. ask all my buyers, i package the stuff the way i want mines packaged.

That was my sub I received. With a motor that heavy and not being tightly secured it is bound to shift and rub thru on any side it’s sitting on. I not rally upset over the situation just bumed the motor didnt make it here in 1 piece.. Astly was a good guy and advised he will refund the money I paid for the motor and he will finish up the claim with ups. Which in my eyes is a great seller. The claim is for $400 because I don’t think you can buy just a motor from FI? Or can you? Astyl you advised me to keep it at $400 for the claim. Did you want me to change it to a different amount when I notify UPS you will be the new contact person??

Just leave it at 400, i doubt i will get 400 anyway considering it was uninsured and only has the default $100 doller amount thats probobly all they are going to pay up

I agree it doesnt matter what carrier you choose, they all toss stuff arround.

Do you think Fedex or USPS carefully places every package down???

I always try to over do the packagin, even if it cost me more

Holy shit Scott, that is the worst shipped package I've ever seen...literally. Those holes look like someone got a little punchy with it.
How much was the insurance that was paid for by the SHIPPER?
No additional insurance, its the default $100 doller amount, meaning even though scott put a claim in for 400, im probobly gonna get 100 back no matter what the claim amount is because thats all its insured for

If UPS is like fedex there really isnt "insurance." You just have to file a claim. That’s why on fedex shipments they ask for a value amount I think, so in the even of a claim they have an idea of how much the claim should be worth. I would think UPS work in the same fashion.

i did not package or ship it personally, it was taken care of by a 3rd party (the business)
No worries i am not blaiming you for the pack job. Shiet happens. Unless you have never shipped a sub they probably really did think it was packed well. Its important that the motor can not move or shift or else... You get a damaged motor..
