This is exactly why the US automakers are going out of business. GM, and Ford designed cars that are WAAAY to reliable, and retain their value too much for anyone to want.

Idiot. Most the US auto makers were making their cars in Canada/Mexico, and then stuffing the money into their pockets without re-investing their profits into engineering. It caught up with them, and now they are scrambling.
