i have up fore, rear port in my car, its very loud, but i know im loosing out on db's with it beeing aimed up, from experiance, when you aim everything back, the pressure loads to the back of the trunk betteri had a concept PT 12" in a box with both sub and port firering to the rea, tuned at 36hz with a PT 12" on a MTX 1500d hitting aprox. 150db at 38-39 hz (box was tuned for music)
now i have a Eclipse ti 15" with the sub up and port to the rear at 34 hz, i used to have the same amount of power to the 15" as i did the 12" and my db with the 15" was 137 on the new meter (6db lower or not from the old meter its still a big difference)
although now i've added a shit ton more power on a higher quality amp, its its insane, havn't had it metered but i'd say its in the mid 140's at a very low tone,
anyways i am confident that when i build a box to go in my trunk from the inside of my car so i can get it in there both firering back, im sure it will hit harder, espacailly since i've experimented with every kind of enclosure you can imagine and have noticed when both are firering back it is noticably louder and much deeper because of the way it louds in the trunk
