lol even the regular vettes are more than the shelby.. you can get a shelby 500 off the lot for around 60k.. and they will smoke the regular and stay close with the z06

You're comparing Chevy's 2nd most impressive vehicle to a Mustang, bro. With another $10k, you could have two GT 500's. Think about how unfair the comparison really is.

If you want to go all out, compare the Ford GT and the Corvette Zr1.

No, the GT500 has no 5.0 (5.4 supercharged). I already pointed out the SS is faster than the regular GT (C&D, same drivers same day- doesn't get more comparable).

You are missing my whole point. I said the GT500 that this is about costs way more than the SS. You said that was an excuse. Now you are making excuses just like that (just as I said you would), that was what I was winking about.

The ZR1 beats the GT for less money, and last I checked you couldn't still get a GT anyways.

What? I don't think you know what you're talking about. A Vette starts at 49K and can be bought for less..... The sticker on the Shelby starts around 45 actually, but are usually marked up near the 60 you mention.
As to smoking a corvette, and keeping up with a Z06......you've got to be kidding me. No offense, but I probably am in the wrong place talking w/ the wrong dudes to be surprised by this kind of talk. Just google this stuff.

k the z06 is 75k.. the gt500 is 45k.. the vette is 48k.. so for 30k that gt500 would walk all over the z06.. hell probably with half that.. for 3k it would probably stomp the vette.. idk the specs all that well on the new vettes.. the z06 didn't even STOMP the gt500 when it came out.. it beat it and the viper but not by a huge margin..
