for example-

34 volts peak is recorded, channel is connected to a 2 ohm speaker/load

peak volts squared

34X34=1156

divided by resistance

1156 / 2= 578 watts

Peak output recorded as 578 watts, to obtain RMS voltage multiply by .727

578x.727= 420 watts rms

the multiply by .707 is for RMS Voltage, for wattage you just divide by 2.

PeakWattage/2=RMS Wattage

PeakVoltage*.707=RMS Voltage

or you could just do it the easy way play a sine wav and measure the voltage and amperage. Multiply them and waalaah you got power.

I learn somthing new every day, I found the info for the do it your self wattage check from Concept's website, I knew it was innacurate but I didn't think it was that far off!.

Just goes to further prove that you can't believe everthing you read.
