Under the Windowline?

I just put together a box for a competition sunday and it is 15" high in a 93 Explorer. I measured from the back windows to the bottom and its 16". However, the cargo area slopes up and where the passenger door window is, the box looks to sit higher then the windowline. Anybody know if a few inches will put me into a "wall" category?

Depends on the judge at the show. If no one else(other competitors) has a problem with it. See no reason why you cant run in the no wall class. But most likely If its above the window line its wall class for you. How many inches is it.

15 inches high, back window is 16" high. however the passenger door window is around 12" to floor.

you can go to termpro and check it out but from what i read over there, you can make your box no bigger than like 14.5" tall including the sub if you do crx style. if its not 14.5 its something very close to that. then again one explorer owner argued his was like 15.X while 2 other guys said its in the 14's.

you would probably be stuck in another class.

hmm, its 1 in too high. let me try to get pics h/o. f*ck my luck. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

USACi Rule Book:

Enclosures in the cargo area of all vehicles competing in the Stock division must be installed behind the rear most passenger seats. Neither the enclosure, nor any device(s) affixed to the enclosure may protrude above the top of the rear seat back or block the view out of the rear glass. Neither the enclosure nor any devices affixed to the enclosure may protrude above the bottom of the side or

rear glass panels.

Hmm... I stand corrected. You appear to be legal in USACi's book if you're under the height of the back seat.

here are pics. an identical enclosure is going next to it tommorow, each speaker is a 10".

thanks for that info 05gliguy. i was disqualified last competition for using an ipod and i do not want to get DQed again for something stupid. i am going to print out what you quoted and use it to argue my point, as i am sure they will try to DQ me again.

No, it states that it can't be above the side windows either...
