what's up guys I've got a wicked deal on a pair of amplifiers here that will both be perfect for my midrange setup. The build will consist of a 3 way active setup, and the 4 channel I'm having trouble deciding on will be running the midrange/tweeters.

I'm hoping to get unbiased responses here although I know that will be hard. The two amplifiers are Focal FPS-4160, and the Mosconi Gladen One 130.4. Both have very similar specs but I'm hoping to gain some info on what your choices would be and why.

Thanks

If specs are similar, the only thing left is brand bias. I vote McIntosh.

That Focal is quite the amp
Quote from the write up:

It's made of two two-channel amplifiers, 2 x 150W RMS for the first one and 2 x 155W RMS into 4 ohms for the second one. A four-channel amplifier of 120W RMS minimum power into 4 ohms and 160W RMS into 2 ohms per channel in class AB. A mono-channel class D amplifier offering 320W RMS into 4 ohms or 750W RMS into 1 ohm at 0.8% THD+N.

It's hard to give you a answer without knowing what you want to run off the amp but just at face value I like that focal amp
That being said I could probably tell you a few amps that would do the same thing for a lot cheaper

Both brands should perform as advertised but I see absolutely no reason to be using class A/B amps with the current state of class D technology it's just a waste of money, space, and efficiency.

the 4ch I'm after will be running Audiofrog GS10's and Audiofrog GB40's or GS40's. Haven't decided yet
