I'm not really surprised, companies are always coming out with some super exspensive piece of equipment, audio related or not, and there will always be people with more money then brains that will buy it.

in this particular case, would the sound difference(if any) be noticable enough to warrant the price tag?

accutons are good drivers...I've listed to a set of coletrains "40,000 dollar pair of loudspeakers" that had that tweeter in it...way to harsh.......and not my cup of tea...I've also listend to the B&W with the diamond tweeters and thought those ****** as well....
