Ultimate SQ sub

I have a question for everyone on the off chance I run into a large chunk of money in the near future and decide to use it on a new sub. Here's my question: Between JL W7, Diamond D9, and ID Max (or any other suggestion), what would be your choice for the best subwoofer as far as SQ goes? This is a price no object question, and no specific size. Discuss...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

A Digital Designs 9112. Extremely light moving assembly, real yellow kevlar cone and an extremely long gap with edge wound coils. It's quite the piece. It still have the potential to get extremely loud. That sub in a 1.4-1.6 cube sealed enclosure....sweeeeeet. Audison LRx1.400 and you are in bidnizz. The rarety of the sub is also a coolness factor. There may be 4 of them made for U.S. soil this entire year......MAYBE! Here is a Look-See link:

I have to say that is pretty nice. Basically what I have listed seems to be the best sub made by three companies known for their SQ. Again, any suggestions besides these three like the one above only serve to broaden everyones (any my) horizons to new and maybe more rare products out there. Thought this would be a fun question to play around with

I should also say that, personally, I would much rather have accurate, tight bass that hits in time with the music with no reverb than loud, alarm activating bass (although I know these can go hand in hand as well). I suppose both of these traits would be ideal although I know that can be very difficult to produce.

^^^O man that 18 is soooo sexy....you posted a thread about it before didnt you?
yes sir.......here are some pics of the NS18 and an IDMAX 10

That would be a function of the harness, not the HU, I think. Have you looked into a Maestro or iData interface? i would check with crutchfield...

thanks DB, that definitely helps swallowing a $300 price tag 😂 these would essentially be running midbass for me too

What is your budget? With being exposed to Rain.. I would recommend looking at a marine grade SAS Bazooka for the sub stage

Don't forget Hoffman's Iron Law. You can have 2 of the 3: low end, efficiency/sensitivity or small enclosure size...
