Ugh this is obnixious

I've never had a problem with orion, soundstream, or hifonics amps........
mu hifonics bx605 was the worst amp i never owned, my orion 600d, was better but nothin special, and i should be getting a ss pca 130.2 within a week or so.

no nothing is wrong my engine is far from stock weighs a ton and all that comes into play when it comes to gas mileage i just went thre the engine, changed the plugs gaskets etc and still same all because of the numerous engine mods, and i dont pay for gas anyhow
what mods to get 4 MPG. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif

I had a 406, 11:1, solid cam, aluminum heads, Holley HP series carb, 4.11 gears and a 3500 stall drove everyday and got 8-10. 4200 lb truck

oh well...sounds like you need a gas miser car. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

well next time i switch to the secone tank i'll right down the mileage, since i dont have all the cool stuff on the newer trucks and get a more accurate reading, cause the truck doesnt run bad at all 410hp so i'll try and get a more exact rating

Bike Junkie, Thank you for serving our country , we appreciate it. But I think you are sadly mistaken by calling American cars UNreliable and not fuel effecient. I have had 3 brand new amercian carsa,1998 GTP, 2000 Saturn and 19995 chevy blazer. Saturn went to dealership once, GTP went once and Blazeer went once, The GTP and Saturn were very fuel effecient and man did I beat that saturn. THe paint on it was great to. none of these cars had rattles either. So you are jsut as guilty as the other guy stating BS stuff. Imports and domestics ARE reliable, But like I said, my money stays here when possible. The auto industry plays a big role in our economy. Millions of our people have jobs pertaining to the auto industry. One thing I will never understand is wehn I see a WW2 Veteran driving a Jap car. Really strange to me.

I base my opinion on the cars I see day in and out at work as used trade ins and customer cars. On the average, the domestics do not age as well as the imports. I am happy you have had good luck with your cars. We never had out Silverado in the shop either, except for the knocking noise from the engine as it was warming up (piston slap) that GM is currently in a lawsuit over as they told customers it is normal- though I think a car/truck with 12,000 miles on it shouldn't knock when cold. Am I biased? Yes I am- I have seen too many "low mileage" domestic trade-ins that were complete garbage, in comparison to the imports- though many of them are crap too. My opinion is based on the high number of personally owned Hondas and customer Hondas that have 200,000 miles on them with no major repairs needed beyond routine maintinence. Not too many Cavaliers or Neons will make it there. I do feel slightly different about trucks- I believe the big 3 build very good trucks, because that is thier focus-trucks and SUV's- I just don't think it should be.

Bikejunkie, you cant go by that, you dont know how these people treated there cars. Piston slap is harmless, but annoying. Let me give you my story:

My fatehr bought a 1999 Toyota Camry brand new back then. It curently has 125k miles on it. My father drives like he is 90 years old and takes care of his car's very well, the body and interior is mint, Now here is the list:

1-)The car rattles underneath like you would not believe, I had to repalce all the bushings, tie rods and the front strut mounts were GONE at 40k.

2-)Toyota had a big problem with the oil sludge build up on these cars, alot of motors seized due to this.

3-) I removed the entire driver side window off its door track by closing the door to hard, no BS.

4-)The driver side door rubs and hits the back driver side door when you open it! The door was never hit, the whole car was never hit.

5-) There is ROT on the roof which leaks water on the dash! Toyota says there is a 5 year warranty against rot. The car was % years and 6 months old, Toyota said sorry!

SO. If this was 1980 etc I would agree with you but times have changed. We still have to catch up BUT the gap is getting smaller. We have a 1995 Blazer that needed a new brake line and o2 sensor. It does rattle a little, the Toyota doesnt. Lets not talk about cost of parts!!!! $350 for a toyota o2 sensor????

now thats your opinion that it doesn age as well my f150 has 300,000+ miles on it and ive never needed a major repair, and it still fries the tires at every light when i take off, i love that truck and i can see me keeping it well into when its turns into a classic another 4 years, then i can yank the cat //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif anywho its just your opininon, and my step moms 86 mustand has 290,000 mustang and nothing more than the usual new spark plugs etc

Its okay guys. Bikejunkie is just a sellout anyway. I bet in his will he will insist on the hurse being a honda or toyota.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

Just for the record, I know a thing or 2 about cars. I understand what piston slap is and that it is harmless- I just don't think it is acceptable in a $35,000 truck with 12k on it, and the public agrees with me (there is currently a large class action lawsuit underway) Many of you have had great luck with your cars- it is also likely you are a car guy and take better care of your ride than joe- public does. I am an ASE Certified Master Auto Technician, so it's not like I am talking out of my ***. There are some cars that just have problems. Honda currently has a ton of automatic transmission issues on Accords and Odysseys. No manufacturer is perfect, and I am not saying that Honda pwns all others, I am saying the big 3 are still living in the past and are learning a lot from the imports- and the gap is closing gradually- But outside of the new Mustang and the Corvette there isn't a car GM or Ford build that I would own- I just don't trust the quality from my experience, but the coolness of those models outweighs my better reasoning. I don't really have issues with trucks, other than they have all gotten way to freeking big IMO. YOu can make all the anti-american blasts you would like, and if being environmentally responsible and wanting good fuel economy makes me anti-american, then I guess I am. You are right, I don't subscribe to america's wasteful, fast food, disposable society- so I guess I am un-american in that respect- I believe in intelligence over not caring about anything beyond our borders because we are more powerful than any other country. I am un-american because I think SUV's are retarded. I think vehicles w/ horrible fuel economy ****, and I think a car should be good beyond 150k. So I guess I am un american. Isn't the right to have my own opinions distinctly american though? Hmmmmm.....

hhhmmm, not sure where you get people call you unamerican. I agree with you in many things. C6 and mustang is the only cars you would consider?? I think the new caddy's haul *** and look hot. I also like the new Ford Fusion. The gap is closing for sure. One thing I cant stand is the ******* dealerhips who are liars and thiefs. I also dont like UAW. its got to go and might not last to long, who knows. In a year or so i will be buying a new car and def will be american. But cmon, jsut becuase you dont like SUV's doesnt mean everyone shouldnt drive one. I cant stand when people call American cars gas guzzlers and not enviormentally friendly, its BS. I dont look at it that way. I look at the companies who throw toxins in our rivers. I look at companies who dump hazordous materials in our lands. I dont give a shit about 8mpg truck. GE dumped PCB's in teh Hudson river for YEARS. Now you cant even go fishing in that river, isnt that sad?? Thats the BIG stuff, not a hummer.
