Conflict of interest meaning manufacturers testing other manufacturer drivers and claiming an unbiased nature is a little more than off. Just certain things one should and shouldn't do when acting behind the representation of a company - this would be a line most wouldn't cross because it doesn't have unbiased representation. Some find that an issue - some don't - but it almost always has some fanboi backlash on the internet.

I'd be willing to bet the only thing RE would send them would be a baggie of flaming dog poo.

I still dont see the big deal being that Ed isn't including any of its drivers and has nothing to gain or lose because of that. If anything all it will do is help the sales of whoever gets a favarable review. There has been no criteria what so ever that should discourage any company confident in its product vs the other products being tested. If a product happens to **** compared to the others well then the consequences it suffers is probably what it deserves. This is not a random test its a COMPARITIVE test meaning somebody is gonna come out looking good when its done and with 100% certainty it wont be Ed. If RE or anybody else believes they have the most competitive product and it turns out to be the case they have nothing to lose. wussies!

RE was in the great 8 (weather they wanted or not, idk) and came up short to JL and others. Does eD even have a sub that can handle 1200 watts?
