My oldschool us amp is inefficient as hell, compared to the kicker kx850.2 that I had.

umm that 400 was alot more powerful than an 850.2

Swap the amps out at the same listening levels, with a stock electrical, and you could notice a big difference. I could get louder on my stock electrical with the Kicker than I could with the US Amp. That amp would drain my electrical so bad at very low volumes, and the Kicker wouldn't put as much strain and it'd be louder.

that 400 has 3 power and grounds if you have the juice it would be real compaible to a 2500d

Yeap, and I'm using all of them Tell me how it could be comparable, because I don't see it happening unless it's getting high voltage. PM me, if you don't mind.

i used to rep us amp in indiana in like '98 and was good friends with the rep (still am but he does something else now)i had a black one and a purple one (nuclear fussion from sound solutions forum bought the purple one off me) but i burped 6 sound stream spl 15's was like a .33 load and it out did 2 audio art 100hc's but if you didnt load the us amp down it wouldnt seem that special unless u take into consideration as long as you had juice it would play all day loud without getting too hot. it would do close to 2000 watts im sure the 100 hcs were each 1000 watts or close too it

It gets hot, and it's receiving 14v+. I don't blame it for getting hot, though. That's kind of expected since it's class a/b and I'm running it at .5 ohm stereo. When it does warm up, I do turn the volume down. I'm careful with it

to be honest i couldnt tell you what my voltage was all i remember was having 2 big exides and a lestec 120 dual output alt lol

I have more than merlins. I have 2 4300X's I currently have in use. Not counting some of my older stuff laying around. This is the first time I have not bought the AX well the USA line.

i've never used a U.S. Amp but i see them advertised all the time in the Crutchfield magazine i get and for pretty decent prices too, i might give one a try
