Hey all, I'm not sure if this is the correct section of the forum to ask this question but I'm in need of a amplifier repair. I currently have in my possession a U.S. Amps model 2000x who's need repairing, I have contacted re-audio who currently owns U.S. Amps but they are unable to help on the count that their tech department doesn't even know this model. So I'm looking anywhere where I can find someone or someplace to repair this amp. Please let me know any sujestions.

There are a few members here that repair amplifiers as well as a few "trusted" online companies.

To help you figure out which way is the best to go, could you describe the issues you are currently having?

Ok first off this amp belonged to my friend and told me that it was burnt out so I opened it up and looked and yes some of the components have burnt out I believe they are called power transistors. I didn't want to hook up the amp and see if anything else was wrong in fear of making it worse.

Here are some pics:

I was refered by someone to contact ZED Audio | Where no amplifier has gone before! and he said that he would fix it for $175 + shipping due to the fact that he is in california and I am in florida. I've heard good things about him and that he does good work, what do you guys think?

pm me if you want to sell?
Nah man I want to keep it

They do good work, and $175 sounds really reasonable to me. Did you try DBr electronics?

While I think DBr can do some good work, I don't think it would compare to having ZED work on the amplifier. Kind of like comparing apples to oranges. Just my thoughts on it though.

I agree, but I was trying to save OP some money on shipping.

DBr are the ones that referred me to ZED

Ah, yea DBr would be closer in that regard and more then likely save about $10-15 on shipping for the round trip give or take a few bucks or so.
Yep //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif not to mention that he can possible get a cheaper quote from DBr (doubt it though). I've had three amps repaired from them, all of them are still bangin till this day.
