johnny will never feel the type R POWA... hes an SX noob.

u know it
worse than my shocker extremes... and those were just funky.

It just kills the enjoyment of the woofer when everytime you go one notch too far you get blasted with the stinky //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

Justin kept wangin through the funk thinkin "excess glue.. it'll just burn off"... 3 recones later he got his CVR's lol, never blew another woof.
So you're saying SX's burn up easy?

compared to the comparably sized type R... yea.

You have more of a thermal cushion with the SX because of hte bigger coil, but the R just keeps on goin so long as you don't clip it... and it mechanically *definitely* handles more power.

which btw...
for the most low boom - type R wins hands down! L7's are better high note SPL fart woofs, but that would be all //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
Depends on the enclosure frequency...the reason most are tuned higher is because of compeitition cars note, not the woofers capability to play low //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

and they have won their fair share of both SQ and SPL comps, so your wrong on the Irrelevant comment.......

Of course it depends on tuning... but if your talking about a peak below 45hz, the type R will be louder and sound better doing it. The l7 bottoms out while the R just keeps on goin.

Type R's have also won their fair share //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif
