I want a simple system polecat with master/slave like all the other amps.

Well I have more fun at SLAP shows anyway.

L7s have just as much SQ as the Alpine Type R's.

Infact I seem to remember alot of kicker sq people doing quite well in sq

with them. biggs, dietrich, and eldridge, how many world champs use Alpine subs? looks like end of the discussion.

Oh yeah, L7s are louder too.

a majority of the top SQ'rs don't use subs...

a majority of SPL guys use notes that are at least 50hz+... most 55hz+...

l7 wangs up there, type R craps out.

Go down to 35hz... type R wangs, l7 craps out.

We are talking a high power app for both cases.

As far as type R not winning anything - wait until the end of this year... and btw, type R's hold quite a few state records.

I'm a newb because I come out with facts?

Oh yeah, check TermPro stats. Not a single guy in the top 100 running a Type R...

Alpine not doing to well in the SQ dept either. 4 guys in the top 25 IASCA.. Kicker has 9.

But I am not surprised since a 12" Type R can be had for less then $100.

the sheer number of competitors means nothing... absolutely nothing.

I could be the only guy in the world running the super duper custom massive SPL 12" that does a 165 in street A... doesnt make it any less loud.

IF I competed drag, I would definitely be in the top 100... matter of fact I'd be top 25 in street max 1-2... let alone if I actually built for that class.

My NW setup would be top 50...

Tobias (sblazer) would be top 50 in NW

My current setup would also be top 50 in SS 1-2...

If your up for it, I'll be competing in the MECA show at drag finals - come see the blazer put out one hell of a score at the headrest... and I wont even have to turn it up...
