I think it depends on what sound you are after. I am currently running a type-x and am pleasently surprised so far. I read quite a bit before getting it (mainly the lack of output), but still wanted to give it a shot. I have it sealed in a box that's about 1.07 cubic feet (same box I had my Arc Audio 12D2 in). I have not really leaned too much on it yet as I've only had it for four days, and have not had much playing time. Once I break it in I will see all that it can do.

I want to keep as much trunk space as possible, so this was one of the things that were a big consideration. I also was looking at the RL-p12, but did not really want to move up to a bigger box. I'll make a decision a little later. I will email Mike over at SS too with some questions... again //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif.

Make sure to get the IDMax tested before you spend the money. They are like $500 new, so I'm gussing something is wrong with it if he's selling for $180. And I wouldn't put an sq sub on an Almani amp. I haven't heard anything good aout that company.
