Type R's...yes again !

Hey guys,

I just bought 2 type R 12" 2006 models. I searched the Alpine site and the manual says 1.7 cu/ft vented is optimum for each sub...does this sound right?

Whats the best vented box for these subs? Size? Hz tuned? How much space do each sub take up?

The best suited box size for them is 2-2.5ft^3 each tuned from 30-36hz for daily with 32-34 being the most popular. The sub itself, probably takes up somewhere in the .2ft^3 region. If your looking for someone to build a box for you, pm me...

Does anyone here actually design boxes if I give you the measurements of my trunk?

And as for my mag, the tensels were interwoven and came unwoven. They then binded together and just smoked until they eventually all burnt off. So there is no tensels going from the leads to the cone. Maybe you can just solder new tensels on and have it working again? I dont know but I didnt want to mess withit.

PM 'saywhat?' or 'pv audio' for a box plan, they will do you good.

As for the Mag, that would require an entire recone to fix. You must have really abused her to get those leads to come undone from the spider... How much you willing to sell it for?
