Assuming they didn't change alternators on the 3800s going from 98 to 99, or from the Bonneville to the Grand Prix (I'm guessing you drive a 99 GT), my BXi drew quite a bit of current.

It wasn't bad as long as you were driving, but I'd drop big time while idling.

143 isnt that hard to hit. You shoulda been putting up bigger numbers then that with type-Rs! Just last weekend i saw two punch p1's in a prefab qlogic box hit a 139.9 in a ford focus.

ya, i think the alt is the same they just changed the brackets. so sounds like i should be alright. but if i have to upgrade the alt i will.

ya thats what i thought. i mean i want them to get loud. but someday there those times where i like to turn the bass down a little. those hifonics come with a bass knob so ill tune it with the knob all the way up so i can turn it down when i want.

with two type R's. i have enough room for 3.5 cubes after sub and port displacement is that good for type Rs.
